Taylor Swift A Real Winner

Even in a moment when a performer who’s name I can’t say would have spoiled the night for most people, Taylor Swift won. That classless performer who stole the microphone from Taylor when she was giving her acceptance speech for the 2009 MTV Award’s Best Female Video was met with silence, followed by a standing ovation for Taylor. And she did not retaliate with harsh words. Taylor Swift is a class act and top dog in my book. That westerner is just a dirty dog.

 

The IBMA Awards Have Wealth of Performers

The International Bluegrass Music Awards will be held October 1 in Nashville. Among performers scheduled to appear are Steve Martin with the Steep Canyon Rangers, Del McCoury, Dailey & Vincent, The Grascals, The Dan Tyminski Band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Lonesome River Band, Dale Ann Bradley, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, G2 Bluegrass Band, The Gibson Brothers, Danny Paisley and Junior Sisk, and Sierra Hull & Highway 111. The awards are hosted by Kathy Mattea. Kathy Mattea…grrr woof.

For 20 years now, long before ole Webb here was even thought of, Hank Williams Jr. has been opening the telecast of Monday Night Football. Coming back this year for the 21st time, Hank’s gonna do it again. I wonder how long that is in dog years?

Zac Brown Got Something Better Than CMA Music Award Nominations

Zac Brown received more than 4 CMA Music Award nominations last Wednesday. The biggest surprise of all that day was his second daughter and third child. Georgia Sloan Brown was born on Wednesday, September 9. Mother and daughter and doing fine. Give her a hug and a lick from me Zac!
