Taylor Swift told the Associated Press (those guys are still associated?) that she isn’t looking for a boyfriend and doesn’t scour the awards shows looking for a beau.  Taylor says, "But I think love happens when you're not looking for it, and when it happens, I'm not going to be the one to over think it."  Strange, its exactly the same thing with dog poop!

 
Joey + Rory – Some People Just Don’t Listen
So my kind friends Joey + Rory have released this great new single that parodies Music Row in Nashville called “Play The Song”.  The video is too funny too (there’s a link to it in the CountryHound article).  Funny thing is that it isn’t getting played on the radio.  Listen to it and then ask your local country station why they ain’t playing it.  Woof.
 
JC Penney Is Rascal Flatts Cool Now?
So ultracool Rascal Flatts’ summer tour is sponsored by JC Penney and their American Living line of clothes.  The group’s even written a song inspired by the brand and they’re supposedly wearing the American Living living clothing when they perform.  I guess country music and JC Penney are both related to everyday people, but I’ve just never considered JC Penney that cool.  Now if they wanted to start a line of dog accessories and have me as the spokeshound, that would be very cool.
 
There’s A Reason They Call George Strait “The King”
The Academy of Country Music’s George Strait tribute Wednesday night helped CBS be #1 for the evening (does that stuff even matter anymore since there’s hundreds of cable channels?).  Anyway, now you know why they call him “The King”.  If you don’t, it’s because he is.  Woof.
 
CMT Wants You To Include Them In What You Did This Summer
CMT is barking about their summer line-up which kicks off with the CMT Music Awards and includes Can You Duet plus The Singing Bee.  I do like The Singing Bee because it tests contestants knowledge of song lyrics.  It makes me laugh so much I’m “crying all the time”.
 
Kris Allen Ain’t Kountry
American Idol winner Kris Allen says he will not go kountry with his kareer.  Rumors started after he performed with Keith Urban on the show.  Thanks Kris, cause in country, we like Chris with a Ch. 
 
Just About A Week Til You Can Get A Big Ole’ Webb Kiss!
I'm hosting a kissing booth at the Brown Dog Foundation's Coronation Pawty June 6 at The Farm at Natchez Trace.  In addition to big wet kisses from me they'll have barbecue and my favorite beverage, Flying Dog Beer (it makes me feel like I can).  They'll also be crowning the winners of the Top Dog & Cat campaign!  But the best part is kisses from me.
