Webb's Woof - Jack Black On The Opry?

Woof!  I caught Martina McBride’s performance at the White House during the ceremony for Stevie Wonder.  Martina totally blew them away.  Her voice is as sweet to my ears as mom’s howling.  Camp Nashville lets contestants live the life of a country music star, so they say.  Hope those winners like riding on busses all night long, getting up early to do radio shows, and haggling with labels over which songs to put on an album.  AT least they get to experience the beauty of life in Nashville!  Country Music stars are popping up all over on TV!  Jewel, in spite of tendonitis, will be cutting a rug on Dancing With The Stars while Clint Black is scheduled for The Apprentice.  Jewel’s other half better watch out, that show had a strange affect on Sara Evans.  Emmylou Harris was among the musicians/performers testifying before Congress regarding radio stations paying royalties.  I wish I could sniff out an answer to all these questions about how to pay writers and performers in this changing environment.  The hats on the sidewalk seem to work well for the performers on Lower Broad here in Nashville.  And Jack Black on the Grand Ole Opry?  He’s come a long way since The School of Rock!  Woof.  Thought for the day:  Sooner or later in life you’re gonna step in some dog poop.  Hold your nose, scrape it off and keep on going!
