Webb's Woof - Elvis Costello Is Out Of The Closet

Elvis Costello has come totally out of the closet as a country music fan and now performer. Elvis’ latest release, Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, was produced by T. Bone Burnett…a heavyweight in the country music industry. He enlisted help from many great Nashville studio musicians including Dobro great Jerry Douglas. Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn also contributed. Yee Haa Elvis!

Sugarland had to cancel their opening act for Keith Urban because of a “viral tonsil condition” Jennifer Nettles has. Jason Aldean and Little Big Town are filling in for some shows. Like the song says, “It Happens”. Here’s to a speedy recovery for Jennifer. I wonder how Kristian Bush’s voice is?

Julianne Hough says she’s awfully excited about opening for George Strait. Julianne says “there’s nothing bigger”. Well, Texas is Julianne. The reigning Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year is also in awe of Blake Shelton and says she hopes his girlfriend Miranda Lambert hangs out with them some.

Our favorite duo Joey + Rory have a great new video out for their single “Play The Song”, which parodies Music Row executives and how they try to shape artist. Check out the video here and see if you don’t laugh. http://www.cmt.com/videos/joey-rory/376007/play-the-song.jhtml

A full salute to Charlie Daniels who just completed his 3rd tour entertaining troops in Kuwait and Iraq. Charlie says he likes doing the tours because “for a few days I am honored to walk among the finest young people America has to offer”. On behalf of all the troops, thanks Charlie.

Webb’s Daily Woof – “If things aren’t going quite as you’d like today then go out and do something nice for someone else. That’s how you help yourself.” Woof.
