Country Music fans may be asking, "Where is Carrie Underwood?" Without a 2009 tour or many public appearances, it seems Underwood is laying low, which is not far from the truth.

The songstress has been spending the better part of this year working on her new album. She said that her reason for the "all album, all the time" mentality comes down to her lack of multitasking skills.

"I like to be focused on one thing and do the best possible job I can, no matter what that one thing is, whether I'm completely touring or completely writing or completely recording," she told The Tennessean this week. "That's how I operate. Right now, it's been really nice. I'm still working very hard, but I get to go home to my own bed at night, which is really nice."

The album, to be released on 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville in November, should feature more of Underwood's own writing, along with collaborations from songwriters in and out of the Country Music circle. "I'm not planning on changing the kind of music that I sing, but it's nice to bring a different flavor into it," Underwood said.

In August, Underwood will host a special concert series, Salute to the Troops Concert, on August 14 with performances by fellow Country Music stars Jake Owen and John Rich.
