Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Tony Dovolani likes to jump and jive to good ole Country music, he revealed to AOL's The Boot. Currently in his 9th season with the hit ABC show, Dovolani is partnered with reality show mother of eight, Kate Gosselin.
Both partners like to listen to different kinds of music, so Dovolani is trying to sway Gosselin towards some Country style roots. He said his dream dance would be to Tim McGraw’s "Down on the Farm."
“I'm going to find out what Country Music she likes, so hopefully we could dance to a Country song on our show,” says Dovolani. “I actually look forward to that. We had a great time with the Johnny Cash song ('I Walk the Line') that I did with Jane Seymour, and then with Sara Evans, we danced (the jive) to 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin',' which was great. I always look forward to dancing to Country!"
Dovolani said his favorite Country singer is Tim McGraw and former dancer partner and Country Music singer Sara Evans from Season 3 was able to introduce the two at a recent event.
"We went to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill,” said Dovolani. “[ Sara} knows them personally, and we went back, and I got to actually talk to Tim. He probably doesn't even remember meeting me, but for me it was really memorable. He was creating a new song that he was showing Sara, and I got to see his creative process, too, which was really, really cool. Just to see him be creative and do different things ... for me, it was like, wow! I got to see the master at work!”
Dovolani says that his all time favorite DWTS dance was with fellow pro dancer turned Country singer Julianne Hough. The duo danced to a live performance of Rascal Flatt’s "Here Comes Goodbye."
You can catch Dovolani on Dancing With the Stars on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
