Cry wolf around problems for Storro

Attention is often all some individuals want. Many people choose to get this with simple actions. Shaving your head would be a good example of this. Other individuals are just pathetic in what they do. For example, one going on a reality TV show on MTV would do this. Some individuals need notice so bad that they are willing to harmed themselves and other people. Well, that's what Storro did. She gave the press a fake story about an acid face assault that wound up making her disfigured.

Bethany Storro attacked

An intended assault disfigured a woman, Bethany Storro, of Vancouver, Washington. This tale spread like wildfire when it first came out. Supposedly, someone just came up and threw acid on her face. Everyone saw a young woman disfigured by acid and didn't think of it being a scam. CNN reports that Bethany Storro was released from the hospital on September 5 after entering on August 30. She claimed that a young African-American woman had asked her if she wanted anything to drink and threw acid in her face.

False story with acid attack

The story was fairly cliché, and kind of perfect. It also turned out to be false. Time reports that police began investigating things as she was getting close to being released. They decided things weren't adding up. Bethany Storro's acid burns were suspicious. They looked like they had been applied carefully rather than just thrown in her face. The type of acid getting used was identified, says Sky News. It seemed like it was of the quality of sulfuric or hydrochloric acid. She admitted the whole thing was a hoax after numerous asked about the inconsistencies. The meat dress and balloon boy compare to this. They were all just stunts happening.

Paying the piper

Bethany Storro will have to live with scars for a long time. She will have it the rest of her life. Also, she submitted a false police report. This means she will likely get charges for that as well. She must also give back all the donations for her hospital bills, and pay the hospital back herself.
