Becky Schlegel Bound for Radio

5/6/2008 Kasey Bell Country Music crooner Tom T. Hall speaks very highly of new Country and Bluegrass star Becky Schlegel. “I stumbled across Becky the way you find a shiny new penny in the parking lot: it won’t change your life, but there is something you really like about it.”  Tom T. Hall thought Becky was something then, when he first discovered the bluegrass artist, and now she’s getting the chance to show that something to the entire world. Becky’s newest single, “Bound for Tennessee,” hits radio stations this week, marking the Minnesota native’s first foray into mainstream Country Music radio.  The single is off of her new album, due out this summer. Although the artist may not be the most familiar name in Country Music, Becky is no rookie.  Schlegel already has two hit albums under her belt and has appeared several times on Midwest Country Theater and A Prairie Home Companion.  Plans are also underway for a summer tour. Becky Schlegel’s new CD, For All the World to See, is due in stores June 17.
