The World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style with a star-studded concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The celebration will be a tribute to the honky tonk and Hattie Louise “Tootsie” Bess, the woman the bar is namedafter, and will feature performances by Randy Houser, Terri Clark, Mel Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, The Grascals, Ronnie McDowell and newcomer Joanna Smith, with a special presentation by Grand Ole Opry legend, Little Jimmy Dickens.
The event will be hosted by TIllis, Clark and Kris Kristofferson, who will also be performing.
“Like Kris, all these artists have a history with Tootsie’s,” Tottsie's owner Steve Smith said. “Spanning the decades, each has stories and special memories to share, and their music is a part of Tootsie’s history. It’s going to be a memorable night.”
The show will be on Nov. 7, and tickets are available at TicketMaster or at the Ryman box office.
