Country Music star Jimmy Wayne has been on his feet a lot lately, continuing with his charity event, Meet Me Halfway, in which Wayne is walking, on foot, from Nashville to Pheonix this winter.
While in Jackson, Tenn., this week, Wayne received a phone call from what he thought was Country superstar Randy Travis. The caller actually was a local radio station playing a prank on the philanthropic Wayne.
According to AOL's TheBoot.com, the real Travis called Wayne on the road the following day to offer support.
Meet Me Halfway is a project intended to raise awareness about the plight of homeless children, teens and young adults who don't meet the requirements for foster care. Funds raised from the walk will benefit organizations that help homeless youth.
