Country duo Joey + Rory are among the celebrities participating in 1808 Grille's Celebrity Chef series in Nashville. Celebs will be partnered with the restaurant's Executive Chef, Charles Phillips, and will be given free range in the kitchen to prepare a three-course meal. The chefs will help in preparation and presentation.
Joey + Rory will take on the kitchen on June 24, but are no stranger to cooking. Joey along with Rory's sister, Marcy, own Marcy Jo's Mealhouse, a meat-and-three located south of Nashville in Pottsville, Te nn. When not on the road playing to fans across the country, Joey can be found baking breads and waiting tables at the restaurant. Joey's angel biscuit recipe and her carrot cake will be featured in the series.
Join Joey + Rory at 6:30 p.m. for cocktail hour where complimentary hors d'oeuvres (southern style) and a signature cocktail will be served. The duo will perform a few songs around 7 p.m. and those interested in dinner can make reservations via Open Table (www.opentable.com) or calling the restaurant at 615-340-0012. 1808 Grille is located at 1808 West End Ave in the Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
The duo has released two singles off tand heir debut album, The Life of a Song -- "Cheater Cheater" and "Play The Song."
