During the upcoming campaign season, Tim McGraw was put on the table as a potential and worthy candidate for Tennessee Governor in 2010. McGraw is fairly interest in the topic, but if he runs for office, it won’t be that soon.
"I grew up in Louisiana, so anybody who knows anything about Louisiana knows that politics is kind of a pasttime in Louisiana," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "I grew up in high school and college being very interested in it. It’s a noble calling to be a politician, a public servant — I mean, there are people who do good jobs and people who don’t do such good jobs. But that’d be something I’d be interested in way down the road. I’ve got a lot more time in my career, I think, before I can think about that, and plus I want the kids to be grown before that ever happens."
