Adam Gregory of Big Machine/No Strings Attached/Midas Records just released his second single, “What It Takes,” on the radio. His first single, “Crazy Days,” was successful this summer, having made its way into the Top 30 on the Billboard charts.“What It Takes,” in contrast to “Crazy Days,” is an emotional ballad. Gregory co-wrote the song with Lee Brice, Kyle Jacobs and Joe Leathers, the same group that collaborated to create “Crazy Days.” Greg Crowe also joined the songwriting team with Keith Follese and Brad Allen co-producing the track and the rest of Gregory’s album, which will be released in 2009.Of the song, Gregory said,” The idea for the song actually came about after a conversation my manager had on the telephone with his girlfriend at the time. He turned to me after he hung up and said, 'Adam, I don't know what it takes to be her man,' and something just clicked right then and there. We knew we had something. I picked up the guitar and we started writing. We later finished the song in Fort Pierce, Florida with Lee, Kyle, Joe and Greg."In the next few weeks, the video for “What It Takes” will premiere. The video was filmed last week in Nashville and was directed by Roman White.Gregory will continue touring through the end of the year, as well as continue radio tour appearances. The radio tour is connected with his partnership with Cricket Communications, Inc. Along his tour, Gregory will stop at Cricket stores to meet and greet fans, sign autographs and perform live material from his upcoming album. Later this evening, Gregory will make his third Opry appearance. For more information about Adam Gregory, visit: www.adamgregory.com.
