2/4/2008 Melissa Coker Along the way to raising $100,000 in one day for the T.J. Martell Foundation, those who took part in the 14th Annual Country in the Rockies charity event also experienced some painful lessons. Not only did headliner Eddie Montgomery's wife Tracy tear two ligaments and the meniscus in one knee during her first attempt at skiing (she's expected to make a full recovery after surgery), but GAC's host of Country Music Across America, Storme Warren, is now headed for surgery also. After raising $60,000 from a celebrity bartending contest with Tom Gross and Gary Chapman, he decided to celebrate on the slopes. But according to Country Aircheck, as he started down the mountain he noticed his bindings were loose, and explains, "I had to decide between crashing my head or my shoulder. I think I chose wisely." Storme has a bone chip inducing dislocation in his shoulder and went through surgery on Friday.
