11/16/2007 Stephen L. Betts   The Garth Brooks juggernaut rolls on, and the millions of country music fans left hungry for Garth’s series of sold-out concerts in Kansas City earlier this month can now fill up on the event along with their Thanksgiving leftovers, as GAC presents Garth: One Man, One City, One Night, a 90-minute music special premiering Thanksgiving weekend (Friday Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. ET).    The GAC exclusive is the first TV special capturing a Garth Brooks’ concert experience since he retired from touring at the height of his career nine years ago and is his first televised concert since 2001. GAC was in Kansas City to document the final night of the nine-concert series, where fans packed the new Sprint Center, standing on their feet from the first notes to the last. The GAC music special includes Garth’s stage performance of many of his biggest songs, including his current hit single “More Than A Memory.”  The special anchors a weekend filled with family-oriented programming devoted to Garth Brooks, his music and his life story. Other GAC exclusives included in the holiday lineup are: Ultimate Garth – The Ultimate Hits (Nov. 23, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET), a one-hour special featuring Garth Brooks and his new three-disc release, The Ultimate Hits. Offstage with Lorianne Crook, an hour-long, one-on-one, personal conversation with Garth about his early rise to stardom, his marriage to Trisha Yearwood, and his close relationship with his former wife Sandy, the mother of his three daughters. He also discusses his brief break from retirement and what he has planned for the future. (Nov. 23, 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET) “GAC focuses on the country fan. That’s what we do,” says Garth. “We’re on country radio, our shows are country music, and GAC is country music, so it just makes sense. GAC has been sweet enough to help us share this experience with millions of people. If there’s that many people who want to see it, then GAC is going to be our home and that’s where you’re going to be able to find us. GAC will present encore showings of the concert special at midnight Friday and on Saturday Nov. 24 at 10 p.m. (ET).
