10/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts Beginning with this year’s show, the CMA Awards telecast will no longer recognize the new inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Instead, the honorees - who this year are Vince Gill, Mel Tillis and Ralph Emery - will be formally inducted during invitation-only medallion ceremonies held at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Officials of the Country Music Association say there are no plans to acknowledge the inductees during the Nov. 7 awards show telecast on ABC. In addition, new Hall of Fame members will reportedly be announced early each year, possibly in January. In other CMA news, Whiskey Falls, Jennifer Hanson, and Lady Antebellum will be among the performers at the upcoming CMA Global Showcase. Jace Everett will host the event, which presents new country artists to international media outlets. The show will take place Nov. 5 as part of the “Nashville Celebrates Country" activities leading up to the CMA Awards two days later.
