Zac Brown is finding new ways to combine his love for music and food.

Brown, a former restaurateur and chef, recently released his first-ever cookbook, Southern Ground Cookbook. His band mates, family and friends helped put the book together, which features 27 of Brown’s favorite comfort food recipes as well as photos, poems and passages to go along with each dish. The book is available online and in Cracker Barrel stores.

During his current Breaking Southern Ground tour, the Zac Brown Band has also been hosting “eat-and-greets.” About 75 fans are invited to a pre-show dinner that includes southern specialities created by Brown himself.

And for fans who can’t make it to the “meet-and-eats” or use his cookbook, Zac Brown’s famous spice rub and Brown Sauce will soon be available.

"Obviously we're always working on our music, but with this tour we're building an experience that involves all senses to ensure that it blow fans away every time," said Brown. "When people come to our show, we want them to smell the food cooking, taste our favorite recipes, watch our home videos of the road, listen to some great new artists and feel our excitement - a full five-sense experience."
