The Zac Brown Band single, “Chicken Fried,” has been very popular on the radio, and the video for the song, which premiered today on CMT, is sure to please fans. Featured on their upcoming album, The Foundation, "Chicken Fried" is No. 11 on the Billboard Hot Country charts and appears at No. 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also debuted as selling over 115,000 downloads in just four weeks, making “Chicken Fried” the second most downloaded Country single on iTunes. The music video, directed by actor Clifton Collins Jr. (Capote, Traffic), expresses the song’s essence.  People magazine said “Chicken Fried” is “a song celebrating those simple pleasures of American life,” emphasizing the band’s roots.  The Zac Brown Band originated in Atlanta and consists of Zac Brown on lead vocals and guitar, Jimmy De Martini on fiddle and vocals, John Driskell Hopkins on bass guitar and vocals, Coy Bowles on guitar and vocals and Chris Fryer on drums. “Chicken Fried” was originally recorded in 2003 on their album, Home Grown, and was re-recorded and re-released for their latest album.Catch the Zac Brown Band on GAC’s Opry Live Oct. 18 with Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler and Lady Antebellum also appearing. For more information on Zac Brown Band visit http://www.zacbrownband.com.
