Betts On Tuesday (10/23) Dwight Yoakam has double cause to celebrate – it’s his birthday, and also the release day for Dwight Sings Buck, his new album celebrating and honoring his friend and mentor Buck Owens. The video for the album’s first single, “Close up the Honky Tonks,” directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, can currently be on CMT and GACTV. Dwight Sings Buck will also available as a Limited Edition 180 gram vinyl record. Dwight is set to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday (10/19) and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Nov. 2. He’ll also be seen on the 41st Annual CMA Awards, airing live on ABC Nov. 7. Coinciding with the new album, Dwight has re-launched his official web site - www.dwightyoakam.com. As part of the re-launch, Dwight is debuting The Route 23 Club, a new fan club site offering access to exclusive content - including news, pictures, video, audio, desktop wallpapers, buddy icons and special "behind the scenes" footage. The sites’ “Interact” section includes a members-only discussion board, where fans can communicate with each other, members of Dwight's management team – and even Dwight himself. Additionally, the club will feature exclusive monthly contests – with prizes including signed merchandise, tour meet-and-greets with Dwight, and concert tickets. Membership to the Route 23 Club - which refers to the road out of Dwight’s hometown of Pikeville, KY - is priced at $23 per year.
