Dwight to Rock Coachella Festival

1/30/2008 Country music’s Dwight Yoakam is set to be among the performers at the rock-oriented Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Indio, CA, April 24-26. And a month later he'll return there to join his peers in country music for the Stagecoach Festival. Dwight is the only country act booked for Coachella, which will also feature former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters, singer-songwriter Jack Johnson and the rock band Death Cab for Cutie. Among others appearing at the Stagecoach Festival will be Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, and Trace Adkins. Dwight is also among the 2008 inductees into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, which also includes Crystal Gayle, Florence Henderson, songwriter/record producer Norro Wilson, and jazz musician Les McCann. The 2008 Induction Ceremony will be held in the Lexington Center Bluegrass Ballroom in Lexington, KY, on Feb. 21. Dwight also recently re-launched his www.dwightyoakam.com official website complete with the Route 23 Club, a new fan-club site offering exclusive, members-only access to news, pictures, video, and other special information.
