12/5/2007 The Wreckers, “Leave the Pieces (Live),” from the CD/DVD Way Back Home: Live From New York (Flash Object) Country music duo The Wreckers released their first live CD/DVD, Way Back Home: Live From New York, this week. The CD/DVD, which was recorded during a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on July 13, 2007, features their No. 1 single, “Leave the Pieces,” along with the title track, “Way Back Home.” At the time of the recording, the girls had not yet announced their plans to record solo projects. On this special evening, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp knew they wanted to document the musical bond between them before they ventured out on their own in the country genre. “I am so excited to offer this live CD/DVD to our fans,” says Michelle. “The fans continually come out to support us and this is our way of giving back to them. We also give the fans who are unable to come out to our shows, an amazing opportunity … they have the best seat in the house with this DVD.” “The night we filmed our live DVD was especially significant for me because I had just gotten engaged the night before," says Jessica Harp. "During the performance, Michelle announces to the audience that Jason asked me to marry him. It was the first time anyone other than my family and bandmates knew I was engaged.
