Why can't I be on the cover of Shape?

Woofus maximus!  Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Julianne Hough are on the cover of Shape magazine.  Inside the country music darlings discuss what it takes to stay in good enough shape to pose in a bikini.  You know I buy Shape for the articles…really the writing’s pretty good.  Woof.
 
Sugarland and B-52’s
Did you catch Sugarland and the B-52’s performance of Love Shack on the CMT Music Awards the other night?  Both groups said they thoroughly enjoyed the performance (Sugarland sings the song at their concerts also).  “I got me a car, it’s as big as a whale.”  I love that line from the song.  Bang, bang, bang baby.
 
Sara Evans Doin’ All Right
Sounds like Sara Evans is enjoying life with hunky husband Jay Barker.  Sara described a peaceful life at home to her fan club party last week in Nashville (during CMA MusicFest).  Over 550 fans jammed the venue where it was held.  Sara told her fans “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world…this is all I ever wanted to do.”  Sara’s had a few bumps but she’s a good dog.
 
Our thoughts are with Travis Tritt
Travis Tritt’s father, James E. Tritt of Marietta, GA; has passed away.  Travis had to cancel his scheduled show in Somerset, WI had to be cancelled.  James Tritt was a retired school bus driver and Army veteran.  Sorry for your loss Travis.

I'd also like to offer a sad Woof to my friend Retha Brown and her family in Nashville.  Retha's four week old grandson passed on to a better world earlier this week.  It is a very sad thing for those of us left behind.
