Reprise/Warner Bros. Records recording artist Whitney Duncan is releasing her debut album, Right Road Now, to fans on her Web site, www.whitneyduncan.com, as well as iTunes on April 20. The label decided to exclusively release Duncan’s album online only in order to give her fans the music they have been asking for; the album will not be available in stores.
Duncan posted a poll on her Web site on Monday, Feb. 22, asking fans to select one of three songs they think should be included on the album. The winning song will be featured on Right Road Now.
The Nashville Star alum is no stranger to the music business. In Duncan’s late teen years, Kenny Rogers asked her to duet on “My World Is Over,” which she wrote. She also wrote songs for LeAnn Rimes, Crystal Sawanda and Lee Ann Womack. Duncan co-wrote every song on Right Road Now.
