9/7/2007 Stephen L. Betts Randy Waller and the Country Gentlemen will be featured on this weekend’s episode of the FOX-TV series America’s Most Wanted. According to THE BLUEGRASS BLOG one of the producers of the show is a bluegrass fan. He heard Randy Waller and the Country Gentlemen perform at the Birchmere club in Alexandria, Va., and met the band after the show. After visiting with them for a while, the producer left with a couple of the group's CDs, then a day or two later, Randy received a phone call inquiring about using a couple songs in the soundtrack for an upcoming episode of the reality crime show.   Producers of the show have chosen the band's “Little Red Shoes,” “Vision,” and “Blueridge,” for use in the soundtrack of the episode airing this Saturday (9/8) on the Fox network.  In New Music News: On August 28, Time Life released a comprehensive, beautifully-packaged three-disc set called Classic Bluegrass Collection. The 60 tracks run the gamut from the Stanley Brothers to Alison Krauss and Union Station, no doubt pleasing fans of the classic, traditional sound as well those preferring more modern, progressive material. A great addition to any bluegrass collection, but a particularly good starting point for new bluegrass converts. Highly recommended!
