What's Brad Doing in Central Park?

Brad Paisley Not Hard To Track Down This Week
Brad Paisley definitely appears to be Top Dog this week with the release American Saturday Night.  Brad’s on a media blitz that includes an appearance Friday on ABC’s Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series in Central Park.  Personally I think we need a little less Brad and a little more Kimberly Paisley Williams.  Grrrrr.

Keith Urban Counting Crows
Keith Urban had a chance to perform with a band he’s a big fan of this past weekend.  Urban played with Counting Crows at Wisconsin’s annual Summerfest event.  They’re planning a new single I understand, “Mr. Jones You Look Good In My Shirt”.

Another Taylor Swift Record
Taylor Swift set a one night attendance record last week at the Country USA festival in Osh Kosh.  42,000 Swift fans were on hand to see her perform.  They also said one of Taylor’s tour vehicles jack-knifed when leaving…causing a 2-hour traffic jam.  I heard Taylor would go to any length to keep her fans around, but isn’t that a little much?

Montgomery Gentry Reminisce
Montgomery Gentry told GAC that they chose Marty Stuart and Little Jimmy Dickens to introduce them as new Grand Ole Opry members last week because the first time the duo played the Opry years ago they had hung out backstage with Stuart and Dickens.  Mongtomery Gentry sang their debut single from 10 years ago at the induction, “Hillbilly Shoes”.  That’s funny.  Everyone knows hillbillies don’t wear shoes.

ABC Likes CMA
Country’s Night to Rock, ABC television’s broadcast of the CMA Music Festival, will be 3 hours this August when it airs instead of the usual 2 hours.  Yeah it’s that good.

Bellamy and Bacon Brothers
The Bellamy Brothers and The Bacon Brothers (actor Kevin Bacon and brother Michael) have released a new single and video, “Guilty of the Crime”.  The video, which also features Shannon Doherty, was shot at a prison in Memphis.  Let’s hope The King’s spirit was there watching over them and blessed it.

Dolly Parton Bloody Platinum
The Very Best of Dolly Parton has been certified platinum in Great Britain.  I knew those Limeys had good taste.
