Webb's Woof - Miranda's Hitting the Blackjack Tables

My favorite “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Miranda Lambert says she’ll relax in Vegas before the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards by playing a cheap blackjack table. I’m a Craps man myself (love those hard 8’s), even though I do have a little trouble holding the dice.

 

If you like Bluegrass you ought to head to Owensboro, KY this weekend for the Bluegrass Returns To Its Roots festival. All the Bluegrass stuff used to be headquartered in Owensboro, and the museum is still there. I wonder if John Calipari will be there?

 

Country Music star and former trucker Aaron Tippin has recorded an entire album of trucker songs, called In Overdrive. Aaron says he can’t believe the response its gotten from truckers and its selling well in truckstops across the country. I’m a train song man myself.

 

And Steve Martin will be on the Grand Ole Opry May 30 singing songs from his new album The Crow New Songs For The Five String Banjo. Vince Gill, Amy Grant, John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), and others will join Martin. McEuen and Martin have actually been friends since they were teen-agers. Martin is a serious banjo player – no joke.
