Lorrie Morgan Celebrates Silver Opry Anniversary
Big Woof to Lorrie Morgan on celebrating her 25th Anniversary on the Grand Ole Opry this week. Lorrie says the Opry is where she feels at home, "The Opry has been my comfort zone since I was a baby," Morgan said. "That's where my friends are and the music I love. Being an Opry member is truly the highlight of my career.” Lorrie was just a pup when she first sang with her dad George Morgan on the Opry, joining him on his hit “Paper Roses”.

Ain’t No Waitin’ On A Brad Paisley Release
You can get one track each for three weeks leading up to the release of Brad Paisley’s American Saturday Night album at the end of June. They’ll count towards purchase of the whole album when it is released. Hmmmm. This reminds me of how they changed the new year releases of cars (they used to all pretty much come out in the fall). Let’s hope the record industry doesn’t trend that way or it will be owned by the government...or is that us?

Gretchen Wilson Reminisces
Gretchen Wilson is doing a digital release of her new single “If I Could Do It All Again” tomorrow. They say you can get it at any digital download site. Gretchen recently returned to high school and got her GED. The songs about taking time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Are they talking about treats?

Grand Ole Opry and Dollar General Store Get Together
The Grand Ole Opry has announced that the Dollar General Store, which is headquartered around Nashville just like the Opry, has become a sponsor. Congrats to both for that nice arrangement. You probably need a good spokesdog though. Woof.

It’s A Bottomless Pit of CMT Music Awards Performers
CMT has announced performers for its Nationwide Stage at its music awards coming up soon here. That’s a smaller stage they use coming in and out of breaks. Best of all my friends Joey + Rory will be performing there along with Eric Church, The Eli Young Band and more.

Get Out Sunday Night To See Kenny Chesney Close The CMA MusicFest
Kenny Chesney is closing out this year’s 2009 CMA Music Festival. Yes that is redundant. It ought to be a hot show Sunday night at LP Field.
