Webb's Woof - Look at all the autographs at Fan Fair!

Posted by Webb on 05/19/2009

Can you believe it? The CMA Music Festival is now in its 38th year!  That’s really old in dog years.  Anyway, the Country Music Association announced yesterday some of the artist who will be signing autographs at the Fan Fair part of it.  Here’s CMA’s list:  Julianne Hough, Montgomery Gentry, LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson, and Wynonna will also meet their fans in the Greased Lightning Fan Fair Hall. Other artists scheduled to be in booths include: Keith Anderson, Frankie Ballard, Luke Bryan, Sarah Buxton, Caitlin & Will, Jason Michael Carroll, Eric Church, Brad Cotter, Bucky Covington, Whitney Duncan, Gloriana, Jessica Harp, Randy Houser, Jack Ingram, Joey + Rory, Jason Jones, Jypsi, Kate and Kacey, Little Big Town, The Lost Trailers, Charlie Louvin, Love & Theft, Neal McCoy, Richie McDonald, Justin Moore, Craig Morgan, Lorrie Morgan, David Nail, Heidi Newfield, James Otto, Jake Owen, Michael Peterson, Point of Grace, Julie Roberts, Blake Shelton, Ashton Shepherd, Sunny Sweeney, Aaron Tippin, Trent Tomlinson, Jimmy Wayne, Emily West, Chuck Wicks, Holly Williams, Mark Wills, Darryl Worley, Chris Young, and many more.  “and many more”, they’re my fave.

Speaking of the CMA Music Festival, ABC is hosting a 2-day block party at it this year.  They did it for 1 day last year but decided 24 hours was not enough, so now it is expanded!  Its all about music, fun, and games and its held right around the Country Music Hall of Fame.  By the way, why is it when they promote it now they always point out the New York Times calls it “the country’s premiere country music festival”?  What does the New York Times know about country music?  Sorry I got off the trail a minute there.

Keith Urban will performing along with Country Music’s Carrie Underwood on American Idol’s finale, Wednesday May 20.  Keith confesses to being an AI fan.  They’re thinking he’s going to sing “Kiss A Girl”.  You know you can kiss a hound on June 6…see details below.

Cracker Barrel (give me some of them gravy and biscuits) will be the only place you can buy Montgomery Gentry’s new release of previously released stuff primarily.  It is for a great cause though as proceeds from each sale to to the Wounded Warrior project!  The release is titled For Our Heroes.  War doesn’t make my tail wag, but supporting our troops definitely does…so get you a copy!

Colgate Country Showdown has improved their website to include information on how to succeed as an artist…and it now allows you to build your own page and submit MP3’s of your recordings.  I’m working on my new single to post there, “You Used To Be A Treat But Now You’re Just A Tick”.  Woof!

I'm pitching in for a very good cause, to help the Brown Dog Foundation's Coronation Pawty fundraiser.  The Brown Dog Foundation helps pay the veterinarian bills for people who's pets need medical care but the owner's cannot afford it.  Twenty-two dogs and cats from across Tennessee have been campaigning to win.  June 6th from 6-8 PM at The Farm at Natchez Trace (just outside Nashville) they'll have the Coronation Pawty.  It's $15 per person, animals free, all for a good cause.  And they're serving my favorite beverage - Flying Dog Beer - and serving Whitt's BBQ.
Best part is I never kiss and tell.  Ya'll come!
