6/14/2008 Staff Coming Soon – A New Generation of CountryHound – Webb 2.0 We’ve come a long way since launching CountryHound.com on July 11, 2007, but it's time for a change. So in conjunction with our mascot Webb’s 2nd birthday on June 15, we proudly announce that coming soon is a whole new generation of CountryHound we call Webb 2.0. Don't fret - we won’t be letting loose any of the things you the fans like about CountryHound. You have told us that you like being able to find a wealth of Country Music news on our site, and you love our promotional giveaways. Webb 2.0 will have even more of your favorite features. 
But best of all, Webb 2.0 will showcase a brand new CountryHound website that has YOU, the Country Music fan, in mind. Offering new ways for you to participate with us in this shared love of Country Music, the improved CountryHound.com will be easier and more exciting for visitors to experience. CountryHound will be more informative, fun, and interactive. Here are just some of the great things you can expect:
- Better display of photos – You will still be able to catch the latest photographs of Country Music stars at events, awesome pictures of fans with their favorite Country Music artistis, and Webb’s pics, but you will see them displayed in larger sizes, making it easier on your eyes!
- More detailed information on all of your favorite Country Music artists – CountryHound currently has a whole new Country Music Artists section under development that will feature in-depth biographies, discographies, and more.
- More information on Country Music events – Coming soon will be an entire listing of the major (and some not-so-major) Country Music events occurring across the world, with important dates, locations, ticket info, history, and more.
- More user interaction – CountryHound wants your photos, your Country Music news, your personal Country Music stories, your inside scoop on Country Music happenings in your area....and we are going to make it so easy to submit it to the site that even a dog could do it (sorry Webb).
- Expanded trivia section – Test your Country Music knowledge.
- The inside scoop on Nashville – We walk among them here in Music City, U.S.A., the stars and stars-to-be, that is. CountryHound is committed to bringing you more video and information on what’s going on here in Country Music’s capitol city.
- Country Cousins – We will include more information and news about other closely related music genres, including Bluegrass, Western Music, Americana, Folk, Alternative Country, Rockabilly, Texas Country, and more.
- Country Music – We figure you’d like to enjoy some country music while your visiting, so we are going to play it for you.
Our work is in progress to bring you these exciting website enhancements. But we also want to know what else you would like to see in Webb 2.0.
