Vince, Merle Hop "Green Train"

3/5/2008 Stephen L. Betts Vince Gill and Merle Haggard are participating in a six-week public relations tour to remind Americans of the myriad ways the world's natural resources are running out. Nashville's WTVF.com reports that other celebrities including actors, writers and artists will join the train as it travels coast to cost. The train will set out from Portland, OR, and end up in Washington, D.C. in August. Businessman Bob Wolf says he and Merle thought it was important to unite the country through a message of simple conservation and education, and decided the whistle-stop train trip, with concerts along the way, would attract attention to their cause.
