Grammy nominee Vince Gill recently found himself part of a front-page story for The Wall Street Journal, but not for any reason one might think.

The article is about people who seem to be loving restaurant ice. They think it's better than the ice at home, so they'll just buy cups of ice. And Vince is one of these cold-blooded creatures. The story points out that his wife Amy actually spent a few thousand dollars for him a few Christmases ago to get a restaurant-like ice maker to put in the couple’s garage.

“I’ve chewed ice my whole life,” he confesses to the WSJ. “Europe is a drag," he playfully adds. "I ask for ice, and they give me one or two cubes. They're stingy with their ice. I'd never survive there."
