6/4/2008 Katie Ball   Judges for the new The Next GAC Star competition have been announced by GAC and artist development company Music Nation. The Next GAC Star is a talent search that spans the nation looking for new Country Music talent. The show gives artists who may not have been discovered otherwise the opportunity of a lifetime:  national exposure and the chance at winning a record deal.  The judges panel will include Desmond Child, hit songwriter, producer and performer, along with Victoria Shaw. Child has worked with artists like Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. He also wrote “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “Dude Looks Like A Lady,” which became hits for both Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. Shaw has worked with Trisha Yearwood and Christina Aguilera, and also co-produced the new album from Country Music newcomers Lady Antebellum.   Those wanting to participate in the competition should visit www.gactv.com/star to upload their videos, songs and photos to enter. Online voting began May 23 and continues until July 21, when the judges will pick six finalists to compete in Nashville. The winner will get a record deal with Original Signal Recordings, a Gibson Hummingbird Guitar and a music video to air on GAC.
