Phil Vassar To Kick off CMA Music Fest

5/15/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Country Music recording stars Phil Vassar and Jo Dee Messina have signed on to open the 2008 Country Music Association Music Festival. On Thursday, June 5, the artists will perform on the Greased Lightning daytime stages starting at 10:00 a.m. CT. Bill Anderson, Jeff Bates, Bo Bice, Lane Brody, Jason Michael Carroll, Erika Jo, Billy Gilman, Josh Gracin, Andy Griggs, Con Hunley, Jack Ingram, Jamey Johnson, Mindy McCready, Joe Nichols, and Eddy Raven also have been added to the Riverfront lineup. Single-day tickets for CMA MusicFest can be purchased for the Greased Lightning stages at the gate for $16. Children under 6 are admitted for free. Opening festivities for the daytime stages will be followed by more than 30 hours of performances from a range of more than 100 Country Music artists.
