Carrie Underwood Sets Country Music Chart Record

The singer’s current hit “Last Name,” became her seventh consecutive No. 1 single to top the Mediabase country airplay charts, according to www.countrystandardtime.com. No other artist in Country chart history has ever had their first seven singles all reach No. 1. “Last Name,” co-written by Underwood, is the third No. 1 single from her latest release and double platinum record “Carnival Ride.” The other hit singles from the album are “So Small and “All-American Girl,” both of which were also co-written by Underwood. The singer will continue touring through the end of the year, with upcoming performances this week in Reading, PA; Huntington, WV; and Greenville, SC.
