2/18/2008 Stephen L. Betts Trisha Yearwood says the lyrics to her new single “This Is Me You're Talking To” appeal to both men and women, and that both sexes can identify with the storyline about an encounter with an ex-lover after a relationship has ended. Trisha admits, however, that she isn’t sure why it's so hard to walk away from a relationship that has failed. “That's probably a question for a therapist and not me,” she says. “But you know, change is always hard. And from my own experience and from all the people I care about in my life, I think it is always easier to stay in a situation than to change it.” While Trisha concedes that it takes courage to make changes in your life, even though it might be for the best, she adds, “Whether it’s romance, in the case of this song, or a job, change can bring awkwardness.” “This Is Me You’re Talking To” is the current single from Trisha’s album Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love.
