Trisha Sings at Daytona 500

2/14/2008 Stephen L. Betts Trisha Yearwood will perform the national anthem for the historic 50th running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday (2/17). The singer will perform at the Daytona International Speedway before the big race. This is also the weekend that Trisha’s husband, Garth Brooks, kicks off his NASCAR print, radio, and television campaign promoting NASCAR Day, which is May 16. NASCAR Day raises money for the NASCAR Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports charities for kids. Garth’s latest video, “Working for a Livin,’” with Huey Lewis, was filmed on the NASCAR track in Atlanta. Garth also has his own charity, Teammates for Kids, which funds health, education and inner-city services for children.
