12/11/2007 Stephen L. Betts Trent Willmon makes his big-screen debut next summer in Palo Pinto Gold, a family-friendly, action-packed Western set in the late 1800’s. Trent begins filming in Texas in January and will also contribute music to the movie’s soundtrack. Taking the lead role of Texas rancher turned Ranger Jake Landers, Trent will be joined in the classic battle of good vs. evil by Roy Clark, Mel Tillis, and former Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson. There’s also a special guest appearance by singer-songwriter and author Kinky Friedman, who plays the Governor of Texas.
