This year's Farm Aid featured wonderful homegrown food from New England farmers and several method to get rid of trash. Oh, there were some musical acts too.Although the annual benefit concerts features some of the music industry's biggest names, festival co-founder and performer Willie Nelson wanted to remind fans that this show is about the farmers and their families; they got their chance to be stars as well.Farmers sold their own produce, including corn on the cob and organic beer, in one section of the festival, much to the delight of concert goers. To keep things clean, the venue in Mansfield, Mass., was littered with not only regular garbage cans, but bins for recyclables and compostables as well.As far as the music goes, the show was highlighted by stars including Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Jerry Lee Lewis.
