Country star, Tracy Lawrence’s, annual turkey fry to benefit Nashville Rescue Mission was a huge success this year. Even though the weather was less than perfect, volunteers and stars alike were thankful and excited to give back to the community.

Lawrence was joined by MTSU students, local media, volunteers as well as friends Brad Arnold (Three Doors Down,) GAC’s Suzanne Alexander, Bo Bice, Burns & Poe, Chelsea Field, Matt Gary, LoCash Cowboys, Lathan Moore, Lorrie Morgan, Danielle Peck, Matt Kennon, The Roys, radio personalities Big D & Bubba and the Titans Cheerleaders.  “I continue to be amazed at how this event has not only grown in size, but grown to become personal to me and the individuals involved,” Tracy Lawrence shares. “I’ve actually become acquainted with some of the folks who have graduated from the program at the Mission; it’s overwhelming to experience their growth. I am moved by how much this little gesture once a year means to them. I wish to extend my genuine ‘thanks’ to all of my friends, the sponsors, media and our community for your help—from the bottom of my heart.”

The group of over 100 volunteers fried up turkeys for Nashville Mission’s Thanksgiving dinner and the homeless of Wilson county. This years turkey fry was made possible by donations from Abba Java, Blue Rhino, Four Seasons Coach Leasing, Ink On Paper, J.M. Holm & Co., Lighthouse Charity and Richards & Southern, Inc. Monell’s Dining and Catering generously provided lunch for the volunteers.
