7/26/2007 Stephen L. Betts Throughout the 1990s, Tracy Lawrence was one of country radio's most consistent hitmakers, scoring seven No. 1 singles and selling millions of albums. By the end of the decade, the hits had slowed down, while label mergers and personal setbacks did little to help matters. But just last month, Tracy earned his first No. 1 hit in 11 years with "Find Out Who Your Friends Are," released on his own label, Rocky Comfort. Tracy tells CMT Insider, "It's a tough climb to dig yourself out of a hole," . "Some of it was self-inflicted. I made a lot of bad choices when I was young, but at the place I'm at right now, I feel really good about it and everything that's going on. I can't live looking back ... wishing I could change things." For more of this candid interview, including how Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw wound up on Tracy's latest hit, click here
