"Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," Trace Adkins salute to a woman's backside, may not be the most profound song he's ever recorded, with lyrics like "slap your grandma," but it is his most successful. Last week the song was certified platinum, four years after the song's release.
But with success also came criticism of the song, which Adkins said he doesn't take too seriously. "People who are going through life being offended by songs are leading pretty miserable lives," he told GACtv.com. "They need to lighten up a bit."
Adkins was recently voted one of Country Weekly's "Country's Sexiest Man," beating Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. "I think it's flattering," Adkins said of the recognition. "But I find it humorous at the same time. You have to look at the pool they choose from. I know all those guys. I don't think any of them are sexy — and I include myself with that!"
