The two music legends will be the latest acts to perform on CMT Crossroads, CMT’s hit series featuring many famous Country crossovers. The episode will feature hits from both artists and collaborations as well, and Adkins is more than excited about the show. “We had such a blast with this show,” he said. “The guys in my band and I are such big fans, so we have been like excited little kids. I really can’t think of a time when I’ve had more fun since I’ve been in this business.” The feeling is mutual on the other side of the coin as well. “He made certain verses of our songs his own, and we tried to take that big voice of his on his songs and try to make it ours,” said .38 Special’s Don Barnes. “We’re doing our best Trace impersonation!” The show will air on CMT on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. EST.
