Independent Nashville record label BLEVE Music previously released the My First Ride CD in alliance with the Fraternal Order of Police and the International Association of Fire Fighters. Now, they've donated 1,000 copies of the album to help raise money for the families of police officers slain in Parkland, Wash. on Nov. 29. The four officers of the Lakewood (Wash.) police department left behind a total of nine children.
George Strait, Vince Gill, Trace Adkins, Ronnie Milsap, John Michael Montgomery, James Otto and the Bacon Brothers are just a few of the artists who contributed songs to the album.
“It has always been BLEVE's goal to help police officers, firefighters and their families in times of disaster, and I can think of no greater disaster than the sudden loss of a loved one,” said BLEVE president Mickey Milam.

Brian Wurts, president of the Lakewood Police Independent Guild, said the CDs sold out within days and raised a total of $15,000.
