Although his recent hits like “Muddy Water” and “You’re Gonna Miss This” have leaned toward religious and familial themes, songwriters still send songs to the deep-voiced crooner with off-color lyrics.   “I’m the guy in Nashville where if a couple of songwriters are sitting down and write a song that is so nasty that nobody will possibly ever record it, I’m the guy they’ll send it to,” Adkins told the Associated Press. “I get a lot of nasty songs. I’m their last hope. They think, ‘Let’s send it to Trace. If he won’t cut it, we’ll just trash it.’”  Adkins new album, X, was released Tuesday and was followed by a special on GAC, Trace Adkins: X (Ten) Days. He’s also set to appear on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
