He also takes pleasure out of seeing how others use their freedom to speak as they please. Despite his time in the limelight for his song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American” and being toted as a conservative, Keith’s views are generally more middle of the road than most would guess.  Keith talked to The Peoria Journal-Star about what he thinks of people who never seem to be satisfied with the party in power or the current state of the government.  “When Bush was re-elected, you heard all those really liberal people say that they hate him so bad they’re moving out of the country,” Keith said to the Journal-Star. “And now that Obama has been elected, you hear the same stuff from some of the rights. But you never see them move, it’s just all of them flapping their gums.”  Keith continues to show his support for the troops by doing USO tours every year to the Middle East. If he hadn’t had success in music, Keith said it wouldn’t be too far fetched to say he would’ve been one of those soldiers fighting in this war. He’ll begin his seventh tour for the troops this spring.
