toby-keith-with-guitar Toby Keith’s Roberts Stadium concert in Evansville, Ind., a stop along his Biggest and Baddest tour, could have experienced an empty house last Friday night due to icy roads and freezing temperatures. But fans braved the winter weather and showed up to the concert in full force with signs saying, “Toby Keith is hot enough to melt ice storms.”After Jason Aldean performed as Keith’s opening act, Keith took to the stage with a performance that had the crowd clapping and on their feet throughout the two-hour concert. He opened with his hit, “She’s A Hottie" and continued with “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This,” “How Do You Like Me Now” and “Get Drunk and Be Somebody,” songs that had the audience dancing in the aisles.Keith told his audience, “Don’t be cool to party, ok,” which encouraged people to sway during “Weed With Willie.”After Keith walked off the stage, his audience raised their lighters and cell phones and yelled “Toby, Toby” to bring him back on stage for an encore, which featured “American Soldier” and “Courtesy of the Red White and Blue (The Angry American).”  But he received the most enthusiasm with his older hits, especially “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” and “A Little Less Talk and A Lot More Action,” during which he broke into a bit of Ted Nugent’s Stranglehold before finishing the song and his set.Keith said before exiting the stage, “Never apologize for being patriotic.”
