Toby Keith Goes Independent

Toby Keith has been a Democrat his entire life, but events during this year's campaign have changed his stance.The Country superstar has changed his vote this year, registering instead as an independent. Keith said he just doesn't agree with the party anymore."It's strictly [because] my party doesn't stand for anything that I stand for anymore," he said.  "They've allowed all the krooks in, so I'm going independent."Keith also cites false media reports and left wing attacks on Sarah Palin as reasons for his change. Several media reports have said that he supports Barack Obama, when he made no such comment.He said that the attacks on Sarah Palin have also caused him to change his vote to John McCain because she is his running-mate."I've never been a huge John McCain fan," he said. "But at the same time, the wackos are hammering her so hard, that they're going to make that ticket win."
