Toby Keith Gives Up Movie Role to Perform for Troops

Toby Keith is planning a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour for later this month that will consist of 17 shows for U.S. troops, according to CMT.com. Keith told press at the ACM Awards that he would be performing in Afghanistan and because of the tour, he will be giving up his role in the movie Provinces of Night. 
In addition, Keith will be receiving the Distinguished Service Award from the Military Officers Association of America on April 21, which honors civilians who contribute back to the military.
"There aren't enough words to describe just how grateful I am to our nation's troops," Keith said. "I've participated in several USO tours over the years, and I've seen firsthand their sacrifice. And I will not stop doing all I can to show my support and lift their spirits
