11/8/2007 Stephen L. Betts Toby Keith is being recognized by his home state on Thursday night (11/8). The Oklahoma native will be inducted into the Sooner state's Hall of Fame. Consideration for the Hall of Fame includes a person's contribution to the state, country, and world. Toby tells The Oklahoman, "I'm proud to be an Oklahoman. I'll never live anywhere else."  In addition to his work as a musician and record-label owner, Toby is noted for his charity and volunteer efforts. In addition to working with the United Service Organizations (USO), Toby helped found Ally's House, a non-profit organization that helps Oklahoma children who are battling cancer. He also owns the I Love This Bar and Grill restaurant chain, which will soon open in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Toby will further show his devotion to the state by participating in the upcoming Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular, Nov. 16. Fellow Oklahomans Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, and Carrie Underwood, are among the other stars slated to take part in the event.
