6/4/2008 Mac McKinnon The fifth-annual Toby Keith and Friends Golf Classic, which benefits Oklahoma children with cancer, will take place this week with fundraising expectations at an all-time high. This year’s “Denim and Diamonds” themed event is expected to outstrip last year’s $1.8 million fundraising effort, with the proceeds going to Ally’s House, an organization Keith founded in 2004 following the death of two-year-old family friend Allison Webb, who died of kidney cancer. The event is best known for its amazing auction list, which this year includes a "Fighter Pilot for a Day" package, a New York City trip with tickets to Saturday Night Live, PGA Tour passes including air and hotel and a Seattle trip to join the crew of the Discovery Channel's hit show, Deadliest Catch. "Toby's golf tournament is a great event and for an amazing cause," said Bob Stoops, University of Oklahoma football coach. "I have met many Oklahoma kids with cancer and Ally's House is a tremendous help to them and their families. Toby's event makes it all possible."
